Ciconiidae
Characteristic of this family is a combination medium to long barbules unpigmented barbules with nodal structures equally distributed along the barbule though nodes are absent. Short prongs are unequally distributed along the barbule. Species examined within this family: Ciconia nigra, Ciconia ciconia.
