Falconidae

In this family there is a unique combination of very long and entangled barbules, with slightly thickened and pigmented nodes equally distributed along the barbule. Pigment may also be found in parts of internodes which are kinked. Species examined within this order: Falco naumanni, Falco tinnunculus, Falco vespertinus, Falco subbuteo, Falco concolor, Falco biarmicus, Falco peregrinus, Falco pelegrinoides.
