Strigiformes
In this order there is a unique combination of long and entangled barbules, proximal nodes are enlarged (node shape varies) and abruptly decrease in size. Species examined within this order: Tyto alba, Otus scops, Athene noctua, Strix aluco, Asio otus, Asio flammeus.
